Today I installed Xchecklist, a checklist plugin (obviously 😛). This plugin will present checklists based on a clist.txt file that can be specific to an aircraft. The files are written in plain text and can be modified with any decent editor. Since I almost exclusively fly SSG’s B748, I searched for a clist.txt specific to this plane.

read more...I’ve been working with different types of scenery lately. Ordering scenery is important in X-Plane, more specific scenery should go on top in the scenery_packs.ini file and more general or mesh scenery should be placed at the bottom.
read more...I switched to Ubuntu LTS 18.04 for my X-Plane 11 installation this weekend, because the B748 EFB isn’t working on my Windows 10 installation anymore. I have to look into that. This is just a quick writeup on how to update the navigation data for X-Plane 11 and SSG’s B748 FMC.
read more...This weekend I was watching a YouTube video about the cold and dark startup of SSG’s B748. The video was really informative and I might write about that later, but what was a real eye-opener was the configuration of camera angles within X-Plane.
