SSG B748 EFB not working

Yesterday I ran into a problem with the EFB (Electronic Flight Bag). The clock was shown after the EFB was turned on and the clock was selected, but all the other pages had a black background. Only the variable fields where shown. The presets for load (25%, 50%, etc.) were working and had effect, but vital information for all the screen was missing.

A forum post here pointed me in the right direction: the virus scanner on my Windows 10 gaming PC was interfering. Since I couldn’t find much info about on the interwebs and I don’t want to be searching for the solution again, I decided to write this post about it. Maybe it’ll benefit someone else as well 🙂
